BAHRAIN MUSIC ACADEMY, Office KGDVS
This music academy was part of a two building renovation in an old town in Bahrain.
A steel mesh curtains has been draped over the entire building to help protect from the Bahrain’s hot climate but also act as a quick signal to show when performances are taking place.
This illustrates how woven meshes can be used as building materials.

NATIONAL  CENTRE FOR CONTEMPORARY ARTS, 6a
The National Centre for Contemporary Arts is quite traditional architecturally. At ground level however, the building has been opened to the street using open spaces and more transparent material pallet with the idea of ‘public’ being drawn right through the building with a public street forming the axis of the building and the galleries sitting either side.
